When HELP Can't Wait exists to supply very current needs for the comfort and convenience of nursing home residents that cannot be readily funded by the facility where they reside. With Health care costs and minimum wage rising, these facilities are stretched to fund the regulated needs. "Quality of Life" items are simply the last to be funded as a result. The average stay in a long term facility has dropped from 3 years to 2.5 years. The target population of the nursing homes are all at/or below the poverty level.
